Anika Ellison Savage

A strategic planning and management consultant helping clients develop robust strategies.

Her work includes:  

  • Leading teams to anticipate emerging opportunities and competitive threats and to develop strategies to respond effectively
  • Research on the evolving nature of work and the implications for the work environment
  • Co-creating workplace solutions with stakeholders to support key business processes in order to improve productivity, satisfaction and retention.

Anika has experience in the technology, telecommunications, healthcare, and financial services industries.  She has held positions in organizations ranging from corporate architect to corporate strategist.  Most recently, she served as director of strategic planning with FleetBoston Financial Corporation in Boston, MA, now part of Bank of America.   She has in depth knowledge of a wide range of strategic management tools including scenario planning, appreciative inquiry and system dynamics. 

Anika is a contributor to international publications including Strategy & Leadership, the Journal of Corporate Real Estate, and Strategic Direction.  She is the author of two chapters in the book Learning from the Future: Competitive Foresight Scenarios,  published by Wiley, 1998.

Anika frequently presents before professional groups including the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Strategic Leadership Forum’s International Strategic Leadership Conference, Build Boston and AT&T Labs – Research.  She has served as president of the Boston Chapter of the Strategic Leadership Forum and has chaired the International Strategic Leadership Conference.  Anika is a consulting member of the Society for Organizational Learning (SoL).

Anika holds an MBA with high distinction in strategy and finance from Babson College.  She is a registered architect with degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and from Pratt Institute, including international study at the University of Florence, Italy.
